The first Health Protection in Action CPD series will take place on the 3rd of October 2026 in the Trinity College Dublin Institute of Population Health, Russell Building, Tallaght.

This session will explore four health protection issues relative to practice in Ireland

  1. Hepatitis A: Complex outbreak scenario
  2. Mini measles vs Wildtype measles
  3. Varicella in high-risk contacts
  4. Toxic fire scenario: Health System response

This series is suitable for

  • Public Health SpR's, SMO's and Health Protection nurses
  • Non Health Protection consultants with OOH duties
  • GP's with an interest in health protection or infectious diseases
  • Microbiology and Infectious Diseases SHO's, SpR's and Consultants with an interest in outbreak management or public health
  • Doctors and Nurses interested in developing a career in health protection or public health
